One of our many success stories!

Major A​ngela Laycock, graduated from Welbeck College in 2001.  She studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry A levels as well as Further Maths AS.  Whilst at Welbeck she started rowing and went on to row for Cambridge and England.  She was also the first female Deputy Head of College Military, so took the final Graduation Parade when her year group passed out from Welbeck.  Angela went on to study Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering at Cambridge University before starting her Initial Officer Training at Sandhurst.  In December 2006, Angela was awarded the Sword of Honour by the Queen at the Sovereign's Parade at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.  Angela commissioned into the Royal Engineers as an Officer and has reached the rank of Major.  The image above is of her last visit to the College in May 2013 when she attended the Presidents Dinner.  Read more of Angela's story here
