On Sunday 15th January 2017, 8 Welbeck girls went for Football trials for the Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) Midlands Representative team at Uppingham. The squad is elected from schools such as Oakham, Uppingham, Repton and Loughborough High School. The standard was very high and Manager Fabrice Vie said he had great difficulty in selecting a squad of 18. The Midlands are defending champions so, it was fantastic news for 5 Welbeck girls to be selected - Hannah Playford, Libby Napper, Annie Peerless, Tegan Morley and Emily Attfield. They will attend a training session, a practice match against Nottingham Forest and take part in the ISFA Regional Tournament on Sunday 12th March at Harrow School.
