On Monday the 25th of June a group of 11 students made the journey to the Lake District to complete their Silver and Gold Practice Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions. We spent four days walking near Eskdale and around Scafell Pike, camping in the evening including one wild camp. The weather was very hot which gave an extra element of challenge, however a great time was had by all as we were able to experience the lovely scenery. The expedition gave us the opportunity to improve our navigation and camp craft skills as well as look at team dynamics as we tried to keep moral up. Our thanks go to Mr Kelham, Mr Dufton, Mr Coles and Ma'am Green for running the weekend and buying us loads of food!
